Every Indonesian visa, grouped by what you will be doing.
Indonesia issues visas by activity, not by length of stay. Choose the activity, and the visas listed under it are the ones that permit it.
By what you will be doing
-
Indonesia Tourist and visit
Four visas, which differ by purpose and length of stay. None of them permits work or income from a source in Indonesia.

Indonesia Business and special activity
The largest group. Indonesia issues a separate visa for a trade show, a branch audit, an after-sales visit and a film shoot. Applying under the wrong one is the usual reason a file is returned.

Indonesia Internship and education
Both run 60 or 180 days and both can be extended. C22A is for a placement your university abroad requires. C22B is for skills development at the workplace hosting you.

Indonesia Multiple entry
Each D visa covers the same activity as its C visa, with the same stay per visit, but stays valid for a year or more. If you expect several trips in that time, one D visa usually costs less than a single entry application for each.
From IDR 2,500,000 See the visas -
Indonesia Work
A work visa needs an Indonesian sponsoring company, and most of the file comes from the company. The position sets the code: E23 for a general employee, E25A to E25E for commissioners, directors and managers, and separate codes for digital experts, religious workers and diplomatic household staff.

Indonesia Investment
E28A covers investment, plus tourism and visiting family, with free entry and exit while the stay permit is valid. The file rests on the shareholding and the capital, so the company comes first.

Indonesia Family
Nine visas. Which one applies depends on who sponsors you and how you are related: spouse, child, parent or sibling of an Indonesian citizen, or of a foreign national with a stay permit. All run one or two years, with free entry and exit.

Indonesia Study and research
A short course, a language class or a benchmarking visit fits a 60-day C visa. A place at an institution needs a stay permit of a year or more, and the institution sponsors it. The letter from the school tells you which.
From IDR 2,000,000 See the visas -
Indonesia Retirement and second home
Three visas for living here, each resting on something different: a deposit or a property for the second home visa, a deposit and an income for silver hair, an income alone for retirement. None of them is a work visa.
