Living in Indonesia: retirement and second home visas.
Three visas for living here, each resting on something different: a deposit or a property for the second home visa, a deposit and an income for silver hair, an income alone for retirement. None of them is a work visa.

Who this is for
Three visas for living in Indonesia. They differ by what they rest on: an income, a deposit, or a property.
Retiring on a pension or an income
E33F, on proof of at least USD 3,000 a month and a sponsor. One year at a time, extendable, with family who qualify.
Later life, with a deposit
E33E, the silver hair visa: a commitment to deposit USD 50,000 at a state-owned bank and an income of USD 3,000 a month. Five years.
A second home
E33, on USD 130,000 deposited at a state-owned bank or a property worth USD 1,000,000, committed within 90 days of arrival. Five years.
Bringing family
A spouse or child of a second home holder has their own E31 visa, sold on five and ten year terms to match. It is on the family page.
What we do, and what we do not.
Both lists go into your written scope, word for word.
What we do
- Name the visa that matches your activity
- Check your documents against the current requirement
- Prepare and lodge the application
- Track it and tell you when its status changes
- Handle extensions and renewals for the visas we lodge
- Work in English, Bahasa Indonesia or Chinese
- Refund our service fee if an application we filed is refused
What we do not do
- Guarantee an outcome. Immigration decides
- Give legal advice. If your case needs a lawyer, we tell you
- Act as a government agency. You can apply directly through official channels
- Issue documents we are not authorised to issue
- Advise on tax residency or company accounting
Four steps, each one in writing.
- 01
Initial assessment
Send your nationality, what you will do in Indonesia and your dates. We reply with the visa that fits. If the case is outside what we handle, the reply says so. The first assessment is free.
- 02
Scope and price in writing
Before you pay, you get the document list, the price for your term, a timing estimate with its assumptions, and what we will not do.
- 03
Document check
We check each document against the current requirement for your visa. You get a list of anything to fix, and you fix it before we lodge.
- 04
Lodging and follow up
We lodge the application and track it. If immigration asks for more, we send you the request and what to do about it. Extensions and renewals go through the same contact.
What you will usually need
Fewer documents than a work visa, and more money behind them. Immigration reads the commitment; the deposit or purchase follows within 90 days of arrival.
Applicant
- Passport valid for at least six months
- Recent colour photograph, CV and itinerary
- Proof of income of at least USD 3,000 a month, for retirement and silver hair
The commitment
- Deposit of USD 50,000 at a state-owned bank, for silver hair
- Deposit of USD 130,000 or a property worth USD 1,000,000, for a second home
- Guarantee letter from the sponsor, for retirement
The Indonesian side
- Sponsor's letterhead, stamp and immigration e-visa account
- Sponsor's identity card and company documents
Each visa's page has its exact list. The deposit and the property are commitments when you apply and obligations after you arrive.
Timing
The visa is quick compared with the evidence: the deposit, the property or the income records. After arrival, the 90 day deadline is the one to plan around.
Estimates assume a complete file. The 90 day deadline is set by immigration, and missing it cancels the permit.
Residence questions
- Which of the three should I apply for?
- The one your finances support. An income alone is retirement; an income with a USD 50,000 deposit is silver hair; USD 130,000 or a property is a second home. Tell us what you have and we name the visa.
- Can I work on these visas?
- Not on retirement or silver hair. The second home visa permits work where the permit's activities allow it, and we confirm that case by case.
- Does the deposit have to be in place before I apply?
- No. The application carries a commitment, and the deposit or purchase is made within 90 days of arrival. Immigration checks that it happened.
- Can my spouse and children come?
- Yes, on their own E31 visas with you as sponsor, on terms that match yours. Retirement allows family who qualify; second home family visas run five or ten years.
- What does it cost in total?
- The price of the visa on its page, plus any third party costs named in your quote. The deposit and the property stay yours and are not a fee.
Tell us what you are coming here to do.
Send your nationality, your plan and rough dates. We reply with the visa, its price and the documents it needs. The first assessment is free.
