Investor visas for Indonesia, with free entry and exit.
E28A covers investment, tourism and family visits, with free entry and exit. The file rests on your shares and capital.
The business plan comes before the visa.
Investor cases go wrong when the company is built to fit a visa. We ask what you will build, who owns it and what you will do here first.
Who this is for
For people putting capital into a business here. Not a general long stay option.
Founders setting up
Forming a company in Indonesia, with the ownership and your permit made to fit together.
Investors in an existing company
Capital into a business already operating here, and what that entitles you to.
Directors and shareholders
A position in an Indonesian company changes the visa, including whether it may pay you.
Still deciding
The first assessment is free and can rule out a structure before you pay a notary for it.
What we do, and what we do not.
Both lists go into your written scope, word for word.
What we do
- Name the visa that matches your activity
- Check your documents against the current rules
- Prepare and lodge the application
- Track it and tell you when its status changes
- Handle extensions and renewals for visas we lodge
- Work in English, Bahasa Indonesia or Chinese
- Refund our service fee if an application we filed is refused
What we do not do
- Guarantee an outcome. Immigration decides
- Give legal advice. If you need a lawyer, we say so
- Act as a government agency. You can apply directly through official channels
- Issue documents we are not authorised to issue
- Advise on tax residency or company accounting
- Advise on tax residency, accounting or company valuation. We tell you when you need a specialist
Plan first, company second, permit third.
- 01
Understand the plan
The business, the capital, the ownership and your role here. We need all four to name a visa.
- 02
Match the company to the visa
How structures such as PT PMA connect to the permit options, and where a notary or lawyer comes in.
- 03
Prepare and lodge
We check the documents, lodge and track, keeping the company side and yours in step.
- 04
Maintain
Renewals and changes to your position both affect the permit, so we plan them ahead.
What you will usually need
Personal documents and a company set. The company set usually takes longer.
Applicant
- Passport with enough remaining validity
- Recent photograph to the current specification
- Curriculum vitae and background relevant to the role
Company and investment
- Company deed, registration and licence documents
- Shareholding and ownership structure
- Evidence of the investment plan or capital
- Your position in the company
Supporting
- Sworn translations where documents are not in Indonesian
- Legalisation where the issuing country requires it
If the company does not exist yet, the order of work changes. We plan it around that.
Timing
Forming the company and legalising documents take far longer than the immigration step.
A short timeline quoted for a case that includes forming a company covers only the immigration step.
Investor and PT PMA questions
- What is PT PMA?
- The Indonesian company form for foreign investment. Whether it suits you depends on your sector, ownership and plan.
- Does investing give me the right to live in Indonesia?
- Not automatically. The investment and the stay permit are linked, but each has its own requirements.
- Can I work in my own company?
- Holding shares is not permission to work, and a director title does not settle it. Tell us what you will do day to day.
- Do you handle the company formation as well?
- No. We handle immigration and tell you where a notary, lawyer or accountant is required.
- What about second home or golden visa routes?
- The second home visa, E33, rests on a deposit or a property and is on the retirement page. For anything newer, ask us.
Tell us what you are coming here to do.
Send your nationality, plan and dates. We reply with the visa, its price and its documents.
